The Ivy Collection is opening a restaurant in York in December. The Ivy Collection is a group of restaurants, brasseries and cafés established in London, originating with The Ivy, West Street 100 years ago, and offering accessible, all-day dining in a relaxed, local setting. The Ivy St Helen’s Square is situated in the heart of York, it’s all-encompassing menus will include including breakfast, elevenses, weekend brunch, lunch, afternoon tea, light snacks and dinner, as well as an extensive wine list and cocktail menu.

Specially selected to join The Ivy Collection’s handful of locations outside of London, York was handpicked due to its vibrant dining culture and thriving tourist trade. Located next to York’s famous Mansion House, home to the Lord Mayor of York, The Ivy St Helen’s Square will be a refreshing addition to York’s already exciting food and drink scene.

The Ivy St Helen’s Square will accommodate 120 guests, with space for 10 at the brasserie’s bar, and an additional 26 on the terrace. Yorkshire man and Chef Director of The Ivy Collection Mark Askew will oversee the menu, and the kitchen will serve modern British classics such as Grilled Lobster, Sheperd’s Pie and a Flourless Cappuccino Cake from dawn until dusk.

With a bar, terrace and interiors designed by Martin Brudnizki Design Studio, the restaurant will have a quintessentially British feel and display art representing its York location.

Jon Pinner, General Manager at The Ivy St Helen’s Square said. “We’re extremely excited to bring The Ivy Collection to York. Chosen for its heritage, fantastic local community and vibrant tourist industry, it is the perfect location for us.”
