The Franklin Institute

Internationally renowned artist Ned Kahn used 12,500 clear anodized aluminium squares to make up The Franklin Institute’s Shimmer Wall, which changes in response to the wind. It’s the centerpiece of the relaxing rain garden and atrium—a perfect chill-out spot for people exploring Philadelphia’s Benjamin Franklin Parkway.

While I’m not usually a fan of zoos, Philadelphia Zoo stands out with its focus on conservation and education. The Academy of Natural Sciences of Drexel University
